Yokohama

Yokohama is a Japanese tire company headquartered in Tokyo that was founded in 1917 as a joint venture with BFGoodrich. Yokohama withdrew from BFGoodrich in the 1980s, after establishing itself as a credible US tire maker. According to the 2019 Tire Business Global Tire Company Rankings, Yokohama is the world's eighth-largest tire maker.

Yokohama is one of the industry's more environmentally friendly tire producers. In recent years, the company has taken steps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and landfill waste, as well as lessen the rolling resistance of many of its models to improve fuel efficiency.
